World food price rises

This week's Backstory looks at the threat of another food price crises.

It was just three years ago a spike in food prices caused riots in some countries and left many of the world's poorest people unable to afford basic staples. Last week the World Bank food price report warned prices are back to the peaks of 2008, which the Bank says forced an extra 44 million people into poverty since the middle of last year. So how serious is the situation and what does it mean for the world's poorest people?
