Australian PM in Europe for talks on MH17, Iraq

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has arrived in the Netherlands to thank his Dutch counterpart for leading the recovery mission to help bring home the victims of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.

During his 24 hour visit, Mr Abbott will also meet with disaster victim identification experts.

298 people died when the plane was brought down over eastern Ukraine, two thirds of them were from Holland.

More than 40 Malaysians also died, as well as 38 who called Australia home.
