Pakistan is marking five years since the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

Ms Bhutto was driving through the city of Rawalpindi in an open-topped car when she was shot at three times before a suicide bomber blew himself up next to her vehicle.

Today nearly a quarter of a million people gathered at Ms Bhutto's tomb in Sindh province, to hear a speech by her son, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. It's expected to launch the 24-year-old's political career.

Bilawal, who's also the son of the current president, Asif Ali Zardari, is chairman of the Pakistan People's Party.
