China intensifies security in Xinjiang province

China intensifies security in Xinjiang province

Xinjiang in China's west is feeling the full weight of the country's security might.

Although the chinese government's anti-terrorism crackdown is countrywide the provincial capital Urumqi has become a focus after deadly attacks at a train station and a market.

It's been five years since riots in the city killed nearly 200 people after ethnic violence erupted between muslim Uighurs and the majority Han chinese.
