Politics in Thailand might be crippled but the nation put all differences aside today to celebrate the life of the King.

Thousands of people will line the streets in a province south of Bangkok in a bid to snatch a glimpse of the King on Coronation Day which is one of the most significant holidays for Thai people.

The Thai monarchy is considered sacred and any criticism of the Royal family could land you in jail.
