Fans of rock, pop and indie in India have surprised a group of touring Australian artists, with their knowledge of emerging Oz music.

Five Australian groups are performing at festivals and venues around India as part of OZ FEST - the biggest showcase of Australian culture, sport and business, ever staged across India.

OZ FEST coincides with the Australian government's release of the Asian Century white paper, although from the sounds of it, Indian music fans don't need a white paper to show them the way.

Presenter: Sen Lam

Speakers: Clement Paligaru, journalist and presenter, ABC Radio Australia; Mikah Freeman and Vance Musgrove, Aston Shuffle band members; George Sheppard, frontman of the group, Sheppard
