Outgoing SKorean president pardons aides

South Korea's outgoing president Lee Myung-bak has pardoned a host of close aides and confidantes despite mounting criticism, including presidential successor Park Guen-Hye.

Ms Park who belongs to the same New Frontier party as Mr Lee, says the pardon amounts to an abuse of power.

But the practice of issuing presidential pardons is not new.
