PNG wants total realignment of Australian aid

Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister has called for a total realignment of Australia's half a billion dollar aid program to his country.

In a speech to the National Press Club in Canberra, Peter O'Neil says what his country needs most is new roads and schools and he says Australia Government can fund them, and Australian companies can build them.

He also lashed out at Australian journalists saying descriptions of his country as a failed state are incorrect. .
