Samsung cuts Chinese supplier over child labour

Updated 15 July 2014, 12:39 AEST

Samsung Electronics has announced it's suspending cooperation with a supplier in China which it suspects of using child labour.

The move follows a report by the New York based - China Labour Watch - which alleges that at least five workers under the legal age of 16 were employed at the supplier, Shinyang Electronics.

It has accused Samsung of not doing enough to address the problem.
