Asia Pacifc Triennial of Contemporary Art under way in Queensland

Updated 11 December 2012, 15:20 AEST

Australia's place in the Asia Pacific is often viewed through the prism of politics, security and economics.

But every three years, we're provided with a window into the artistic life of the region.

The Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art is the Queensland Art Gallery's flagship international event and considered the most important art exhibition held regularly in the country.

Now in it's 20th year, the Triennial opened recently in Brisbane.

Presenter: Liam Cochrane
