Australian Climate Change Minister says Kyoto 2 negotiations on track

Delegations from more than 190 nations are gathering in Doha for the latest round of United Nations climate talks.

They will discuss a second commitment period under the Kyoto Protocol, which expires next month.

A number of key nations - including Japan and Russia - are still refusing to join.

But Australia's Climate Change Minister Greg Combet is confident negotiations are on track to deliver a new treaty by 2015.
