Does genius still exist?

Was Albert Einstein the last truly scientific genius?

Dean Keith Simonton, the Distinguished Professor of Pyschology at University of California, Davis, thinks he was.

He's written a piece in today's edition of Nature, arguing scientific geniuses might have ceased to exist.

He says since Einstein, there's been no big leap in thinking that's turned a particular branch of the natural sciences on it's head.

Even the great advances over the past century have been the product of collaborative work and incremental advances.
