Ex-tropical Cyclone Oswald lashes Australia's Queensland

Emergency service workers are busy across two states in Australia, fighting fires in the south and battling floodwaters in the north.

Two major blazes are burning in Victoria but conditions have improved in the last few hours.

That's not the case in the north where ex-tropical cyclone Oswald has brought flooding rains to much of the eastern state of Queensland.

Roads have been cut and more than 20 rescues have occurred. But for many people, they're on their own.
