Hydroelectric dam could cause human security disaster for SE Asia

Southeast Asian nations could find themselves in a human security disaster more reminiscent of sub-Saharan Africa than modern Asia, according to a stark new warning.

It comes from University of Sydney researcher Chris Baker who's been studying the impact of hydro-electric dam construction on the Mekong River.
