North Korea 'on the margins' of globalisation

Kim Jong-il was still in charge of North Korea in 2006 when we spoke to Brad Glosserman at the Pacific Forum Center for Strategic and International Studies about which of the leader's three sons might rule after his death.

The time came a lot sooner than anyone expected, and the mantle passed to the youngest son Kim Jong-un.

So seven years on, what does Brad Glosserman make of the succession and Kim Jong-un being thrust into the political limelight somewhat ahead of schedule.
