Veteran health worker discusses China's progress in AIDS treatment

In 2006, China had announced new regulations to control and prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.

The legislation also banned discrimination and required health authorities to provide free testing and treatment for patients.

The move was a landmark step by China, but AIDS activists were concerned the rules wouldn't go far enough to address discrimination against people with HIV/AIDS.
