Health Experts are urging Papua New Guinea's government to offer better reproductive health services to young women in order to save their lives.

This statement comes after a recent survey found a lot of young women are resorting to unsafe abortion practices in many parts of the country.

The survey was carried out by the Papua New Guinea Institute of Medical research in Goroka, Eastern Highlands province.

Lisa Vallely is the head of Maternal and Child Health Section with the Institute of Medical research.

Caroline Tiriman asked her to outline the problems.
