A new regional organisation for sustainable development

The first meeting of a regional initiative dedicated to sustainable development in Pacific islands nations has been held in New Caledonia.

It's called Oceania 21 and delegates from across the region assembled in Noumea for three days of discussions on the issues involved.

The co-ordinator of this inaugural annual meeting is Frederic Dhie.

Isabelle Genoux asked him what makes Oceania 21 different to the other gathering in the Pacific.
