Updated 21 March 2013, 9:22 AEST

The Pacific Islands Aids Foundation or PIAF, is closing due to insufficient funding to support its operations.

It has represented the rights of people living with HIV-AIDS in the Pacific for the last ten years.

The organisation worked to improve the quality of life for people living with the disease.

Maire Bopp is the organisation's Acting Chief Executive Officer.

Isabele Genoux asked her if the donors assumed national governments will continue the work.

Presenter: Isabelle Genoux
