A successful Pacific Games bid 'could transform' Tonga

The decision on which country will host the Pacific Games in 2019 will be made later today.

The General Assembly of the Pacific Games Council is meeting in Wallis and Futuna to choose between Tahiti - which has hosted the Games twice in the past - and first-timers Tonga. The head of the Tongan bid says if his country gets to host the Games in 2019, it could dramatically improve Tonga's economy.
