A week since the Santa Cruz disaster Red Cross still in action

Solomon Islands Red Cross activated its tsunami response operation a couple of hours after the 8.0 earthquake near Santa Cruz Islands in the Temotu province last week and its work there is continuing.

According to Solomon Islands Red Cross Secretary General , Ms Joanne Zoleveke more than 3,000 people affected by the quake are still at the camps and a lot more needs to be done to help them.

Her group is still on the ground with other NGOs and National Disaster officials to provide assistance.

Paulus Kombo spoke with Joanne Zoleveke and asked her how the situation is unfolding.
