American Samoa on cyclone alert

Overnight Tropical Cyclone Garry ceased to be a threat to the Samoa and continued its path to American Samoa.

Garry is some distance out to sea, but the Category Three system is bringing strong winds and rain to parts of American Samoa. Over the next 48 hours it is expected to continue to strengthen.
