An investigation into health problems around PNG's Fly River

The Papua New Guinea government has sent two health experts to Western Province to investigate deaths and abnormal bleeding in women living along the Fly River in areas near the Ok Tedi Mine.

The government team will work with a representative of the World Health Organisation to carry out a full investigation into the reports, following growing pressure for action from Western Province MPs.
