Asia Development Bank impressed by projects in PNG

The Asian Development Bank or ADB says it's impressed with the way in which Papua New Guinea is implementing some of the major infrastructure development programs it's been funding with soft loans to the government.

Vice-President for the Asia Pacific region, Stephen Groff made ther statement after visiting several ADB funded projects like the Lae wharf expansion in the Morobe province.

He says the bank has invested some 700 million US dollars in roads and bridges, wharves, hydro-power and improvements to PNG's border development program.
