Australia to declare world's largest marine reserves

Australia's oceans are to become home the biggest swathe of protected marine areas in the world.

The Federal Government will today officially declare a network of marine reserves around Australia.

Now work begins to decide how to manage the reserves and how to dole out compensation to fishing businesses that will be hit by the plan.
