Australian employers look overseas for short term workers

Australian employers are increasingly using foreign workers to fill their short term job needs.

Latest official quarterly figures show that the number of 457 visa holders at the end of March this year was almost six percent higher compared with the same period last year. The Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union says employers who use the visa should be far more transparent and honest about their need to use them.
