Australian worker scheme extended to East Timorese

Australia has extended its Seasonal Workers Program that originally started with Tonga, Vanuatu, Kiribati and Papua New Guinea.

They have been joined by Nauru, Samoa, Tuvalu, Solomon Islands and East Timor.

Our Canberra correspondent Stephanie March reports, the East Timorese are playing a special role in trialling the program in new sectors.
