Back wages bonanza for government employees in American Samoa

American Samoa has paid more than $900,000 in back wages to some 250 employees, most of whom were police officers.

The payments were made to settle charges resulting from a U.S. Department of Labor investigation.

Monica Miller, our reporter speaking from Pago says the investigation went back to 2011.
