Boost for women's football in Cook islands

The development of women's football in Cook Islands has taken a big step forward with the world governing body FIFA coming on board.

The FIFA Women's League Program will see equipment and training gear rolled out to the clubs in Rarotonga.

Another important part of the FIFA program is the creation of a pathway for female players to follow.

General Secretary of the Cook Islands Football Association, Mii Piri says public support is crucial to the sport's growth.
