Call for more focus on young students as PNG expands schools

An independent report into Papua New Guinea's free tuition policy warns the government could be leaving young students behind.

The report showed an influx of mature-aged students cashing in on the opportunity for free education, taking resources and stifling school-aged students.

Hillshine Consultancy project director Johan Volkerink co-authored the report and says that despite the arising problems, compulsory and free education is a positive step.
