Carving destruction in Parliament "cultural genocide" - Simet

The destruction of traditional carvings at parliament house in Papua New Guinea has been likened to cultural genocide carried out by missionaries more than a century ago.

The speaker, Theo Zurenouc, ordered the removal of carvings, apparently at the urging of some churches.
