Climate and disaster management project underway in Vanuatu

Climate and disaster management project underway in Vanuatu

In Vanuatu work and planning has begun on a new project designed to help regional communities adapt for climate change and natural disasters.

The project will provide nearly 12 million Australian dollars to help farmers grow better adapted crops, and ensure water supplies. Money will come from the Global Environment Facility of the World Bank, the European Union, the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery and also the Vanuatu Government.
