Climate change to cause more floods, drought & cyclones

The weather forecast for the South Pacific is not good.

More extreme floods and droughts, in response to increasing greenhouse gas emissions, according to an Australian oceans researcher.

The South Pacific rain band will move by up to one thousand kilometres resulting in droughts in places like Samoa and Fiji, and cyclones in parts of the Pacific which have traditionally been immune to them.

Dr Cai is in Singapore presenting his findings at a major science conference, he's speaking to Pacific Correspondent Campbell Cooney.
