Conservation measures put squeeze on fishing industry

We've heard a lot about the new series of marine reserves proposed around the country, including one really big marine park that'll take up most of the Coral Sea.

It's a win for environmental groups that have been campaigning for years to protect the Coral Sea ... but it does come at a cost.

For the past decade, Australia's commercial catch of fish has been falling.

The fishing industry's being squeezed more tightly between offshore conservation areas and inshore port development for shipping, especially along the Queensland coast.
