Culturally significant species being protected in the Pacific

More Pacific nations are taking steps to protect migratory species, especially whales and dolphins.

Penina Solomona, the Convention on Migratory Species officer at the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Program says protection is being extended to other species like sharks and turtles especially if they are culturally significant .
