Cyclone and flood watch in Fiji as Rotuma depression deepens

A cyclone watch is in place in Fiji with a tropical depression near Rotuma that could develop into a cyclone by the weekend.

The Nadi Weather Office has also issued a heavy rain warning and has advised people to prepare for flooding.

The danger area is around Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.
