Residents in Cook Islands are breathing a sigh of relief after yet another change of direction in Cyclone Garry at the weekend spared them much of the storm's fury.

The country is gearing up for its first parliamentary session of the year, and a government tax review, with public meetings scheduled next week to call for feedback.
