Cyclone Evan - update from UN Humanitarian Affairs Office

Cyclone Evan is still making its presence felt in the Pacific, where it's bearing down on Fiji after devastating parts of Samoa.

The island groups of Yasawa and Mamanuca are on high alert, with very destructive hurricane force winds forecast from this morning.

Cyclone Evan is expected pass to the west of the main island of Viti Levu around midday, and will move close to the tourist resort of Nadi this afternoon.
