Desires become reality for Disabled in the Pacific

Updated 27 May 2013, 9:35 AEST

The Cerebral Palsy Alliance Australia is once again looking to the Pacific to suggest ideas to help change the life of the region's disabled.

Last year a cerebral palsy sufferer in Turkey asked for a solar powered wheelchair. The University of Virigina in the US took up the challenge and duly developed the chair.

The Alliance wants to hear from the disabled themselves to learn what their needs are.

The winner of this year's best ideas will be announced on World Cerebral Palsy day in October.

Presenter: Geraldine Coutts

Speaker: Robyn Cummins, Cerebral Palsy Alliance
