Doctors warn over health impact of offshore detention

As boats of asylum seekers continue to arrive in Australian waters, concern has again been raised by doctors about the health impacts of offshore immigration detention.

Authorities say new arrivals could face years in detention in Nauru or Papua New Guinea's Manus Island.

But the Australian Medical Association's Northern Territory branch says detention should last no longer than 30 days.
