Donors need to invest in Pacific rural energy: research

Governments and NGO's have been working to spread renewable energy across the many islands of the Pacific.

But research from the Australia National University suggests that a lack of electricity infrastructure in rural, outlying areas mean these ambitions are far-reaching and misguided, as most of the population will not be able to access the newly renewable power.
