Increased spending on education, health and infastructure would help many vulnerable Pacific nations facing economic difficulties.

Patrizia Tumbarello, Pacific Islands Unit Chief in the International Monetary Fund's Asia-Pacific Department says the economies are suffering from rising costs and a reliance on aid and remittances.
