Education key to indigenous advancement

A leading Aboriginal activist, Professor Eleanor Bourke says Aboriginal women have always been leaders in their communiies.

Professor Bourke, a former academic and educator says education remains the key to advancement.

She says she has worked over he past 40 years to build a bridge of understanding between Aboriginal and Non-aboriginals and to advance Aboriginal people through increasing awareness, advancement and appreciation of Aboriginal people and culture.
