Fiji pilots online project connecting doctors to patients

There are high hopes that a telemedicine pilot project in Fiji will help overcome the chronic shortage of medical specialists in the country.

From next week, the internet-based system will allow doctors and patients access to foreign specialists.

The manager of the Sarada Medical Centre, Swami Tadananda, says most of their equipment has been funded by Australia.
