Fiji Rugby responds to IRB funding suspension

The Fiji Rugby Union says it hopes to maintain its international competition schedule in both rugby sevens and fifteens despite having its funding slashed by the International Rugby Board.

The IRB has cut funding to Fiji of two million Australian dollars after expressing frustration at the pace of reforms in the administration of the code in Fiji.

The FRU's acting chief executive, Berlin Kafoa, tells Brian Abbott the IRB had not goven his board enough time to complete a reform program.
