Fiji's SDL party dissolves, reforms as SDL party

Fiji's mainly indigenous i-Taukei political party, the SDL, has officially dissolved at reformed under a new name.

At a meeting on Friday the former Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua was wound up and replaced by a new party, the Social Democratic and Liberal Party.

Ro Teimumu Kepa, the Roko Tui Dreketi, or Paramount Chief of Dreketi and head of the Burebasaga Confederacy, and patron of the SDL party, tells Bruce Hill this is more than just a simple change of name.
