Fiji's slow economic growth slows provision of affordable housing

Rising costs of building materials are being blamed for the shortage of cheap housing in Fiji.

The Housing Ministry says demands for affordable homes is at an all time high and some price control may ease the burden on home buyers.,

Biman Prasad, the Professor of Economics at the University of the South Pacific says its a result of broader poor economic growth in the last five years.
