Flash flood warning for Fiji

Updated 22 November 2012, 18:20 AEST

Communities in low-lying areas in Fiji are being warned to prepare for flash floods, with heavy rain expected from a storm system over the next 24 hours.

The tropical disturbance is no longer expected to turn into a cyclone, and the other good news is it's picked up speed as it heads towards Fiji from Vanuatu, meaning the downpours it's bringing won't last long.
