Updated 31 January 2013, 9:46 AEDT

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard will visit the flood-ravaged city of Bundaberg today, as locals and soldiers get to grips with the massive task of cleaning up after the city's record floods.

Yesterday evening a convoy of Australian Defence Personnel was deployed to help communities begin the flood recovery. Water levels in Bundaberg have begun to drop, but frustration is rising. Residents are frustrated about a lack of warning, and there are predictions that some people will leave the town and never return.
