French scientists engage with regional STAR conference

One of the Pacific region's biggest scientific conferences has wrapped up over the weekend in New Caledonian capital, Noumea.

The STAR conference which stands for the Science, Technology and Resources Network brought together around 80 scientists to discuss the region's key scientific challenges.

This year's theme was "the science of a changing world: addressing Pacific issues through the 21st Century".

High on agenda were marine sceince, seismology and climate change.
